Sure, Analog:Shift is a business built around the love of watches — mostly mechanical watches.
But, in essence, it’s our love for timepieces and timekeeping in general that are the common themes throughout the items we procure. And that includes the love of clocks in general: pocket watches, travel clocks, and more.
After all, in the couple hundred years before the First World War, personal timekeeping was all about the pocket watch, and before that, it was larger clocks that were front and center, horologically. We still believe a good clock deserves a place in any watch lover’s collection.
This particular piece is a Heuer Monte Carlo Dash Timer and dates back to the 1960s. The stainless steel case measures 55mm and features a bidirectional friction bezel, an acrylic crystal and a large knurled winding crown with a screwdown pusher positioned to the left and a traditional pump pusher to the right.
The matte black luminous dial is home to a minutes and seconds track with ‘Arabic’ indices, a jump-hour aperture at 6 o’clock and an arrow minute hand. The timer is mounted on a steel plate with drilled screw holes allowing for easily installation into your vehicle. Plate measures approximately 2 1/2“ x 2 1/2“ and is signed ‘Heuer Leonidas Swiss'. This timer is in outstanding condition throughout, seemingly unused with light patination to the luminous indices and handset, and comes complete with its original signed box!
Even if you don’t intend to mount this handsome timepiece to the dashboard of your car, it’s guaranteed to look fantastic sitting on the desk in your office, or on a bookshelf.
